Precautions

 

【General Information】

  • Due to the handmade nature of these products, there may be slight variations in size and shape.
  • Slight tool marks may remain from the manufacturing process. After inspection, we offer products that have no issues with overall appearance, strength, or use. Please understand this as a characteristic of the material.
  • Please be aware that using metal cutlery may scratch this product.
  • Avoid using dishwashers, dryers, microwaves, refrigerators, etc. Sudden changes in temperature and humidity can cause deterioration.
  • Although you can use warm items, please avoid pouring boiling water directly into the product and use it with liquids around 60°C as a guide.
  • Since it has a coating, you can also use oily foods.
  • The abrasive side of two-sided sponges or metal scrubbers may scratch the product or peel off the coating.
  • If water penetrates the wood during use, please stop using it immediately. We also offer repair consultations.

【Kame and Kamehachi Series】

  • Store in a well-ventilated place.
  • Avoid prolonged immersion in water or direct sunlight.　

　 

Care Instructions

【General Information】

  • Wash gently by hand with a neutral detergent without abrasives and a soft sponge or cloth.

【Tsuru Series】

  • Simply air dry or lightly wipe off moisture. It repels water well, so it dries relatively quickly. The coating is water-resistant, so some water exposure is fine.

【Kame and Kamehachi Series】

  • Wipe off moisture with a cloth and dry in a well-ventilated place.


Repairs

  • We offer post-purchase repairs for cracks and chips that may occur after years of use. In many cases, stopping use will result in a smaller repair area.
  • Lacquer that has thinned with use can also be reapplied.
  • The cost varies depending on the condition, so we will provide an estimate after inspecting the actual product. We want you to use the product for a long time, so we only charge for the actual costs incurred. For shipping, please bear the round-trip cost.
