Precautions

【General】

• Due to the handmade nature of the product, there may be slight variations in size and shape.
• Saw marks may remain from the manufacturing process. After inspection, we ensure that the overall appearance, strength, and usability of the product are not compromised. Please understand this as a characteristic of the material.
• Please be careful as metal cutlery may scratch this product.
• Avoid using dishwashers, dryers, microwave ovens, refrigerators, etc. Sudden changes in temperature and humidity can cause deterioration.
• Warm items can be used, but avoid pouring boiling water directly. Please use it for liquids up to approximately 60℃.
• Since it has a coating, it can be used with oily foods.
• The hard side of a two-layered sponge or a metal scourer may cause scratches or peel off the coating.
• If moisture penetrates the wood during use, please stop using it immediately. We also accept consultations for repairs.

【Kame / Kamehachi Series】

• Store in a well-ventilated place.
• Avoid prolonged immersion in water or direct sunlight.　
• NUKADOKO I If placed by a window or in a sunny spot, cracking may be induced due to the surface temperature rising on only one side.
  Due to its large size and thickness, the force that moves the fibers also becomes stronger, so please be very careful about where you place it.

Care Instructions

【General】

• Gently wash with a neutral detergent that does not contain abrasives, a soft sponge or cloth, or by hand.

【Tsuru Series】

• Simply air dry or lightly wipe away moisture. It dries relatively quickly due to its excellent water repellency. Since it has a water-resistant coating, some immersion in water is not a problem.

【Kame / Kamehachi Series】

• Wipe off moisture with a cloth and dry in a well-ventilated place.
• NUKADOKO I It can be completely washed with water or lukewarm water. Precautions and care instructions are the same as others. 　

Repair

• We offer repair services for cracks and chips that may occur after long-term use. In many cases, if use is discontinued, the repair area can be kept smaller.
• Lacquer that has thinned with use can also be re-coated.
• The cost varies depending on the condition, so we will provide an estimate. We want you to use it for a long time, so we only charge for the actual costs incurred. For shipping costs, customers are responsible for both往復(round trip) shipping.
• For repair inquiries, please contact us via Inquiry. Attaching photos (of the affected area, the whole item, and something that shows the size of the affected area) will allow for a smoother response.
