SHIZQ Kamehachi Tumbler
Add the luster of urushi to a truly satisfying drink.
Pour a well-chilled beer.
Enjoy a favorite glass of wine.
Even an everyday drink takes on a different character when the vessel changes.
The Kamehachi Tumbler is made from Kamiyama cedar, with its natural grain and growth rings brought to life through repeated layers of wiped urushi and careful polishing.
Its refined, elongated form is wrapped in a deep, lustrous lacquer finish. As it catches the light, the grain and growth rings emerge from beneath the urushi, revealing rich and changing expressions from every angle.
Pour your usual drink, and a quiet luster appears in your hand.
Pick it up and you feel the smoothness unique to polished urushi, along with a gently gripping, almost seamless fit in the hand. Each time you tilt the tumbler, the sheen of the lacquer blends with the light reflected from the drink.
Perfect not only for beer and cold tea, but also for wine and shochu. From a drink with dinner to a slow evening at home, you can enjoy the changing expression of the vessel together with whatever you pour into it.
The distinctive gloss of Kamehachi is created by applying wiped urushi more than eight times, followed by further polishing. That time and craftsmanship bring out the growth rings of Kamiyama cedar with greater depth and beauty.
Not only to enjoy the drink, but also the luster each time you lift the vessel. The Kamehachi Tumbler is a piece that brings beauty to the entire experience of a single drink.
